Amphia Hospital is using Sensium from TSC Connected Care, to prevent complications, by detecting deterioration earlier.

Amphia, a leading hospital from the Netherlands, explain their rational for selecting Sensium from TSC Connected Care to improve patient outcomes on their wards. Having started in early 2022 they are now expanding to a further five Clinical Departments.

Impressive clinical results, and high staff satisfaction with the Sensium solution on the initially selected surgical wards, have driven the decision to expand the utilisation of the technology. The continuous monitoring of vitals signs provided by Sensium allows “eyes” to always be on patients in what is a predominately single patient room hospital.

The solution has also been fully integrated into EPIC, Amphia’s Electronic Medical Record platform. All vitals signs and any notifications of potential patient deterioration from the Sensium system are being streamed through EPIC’s clinical management system in real time. This, coupled with an incoming data stream of patient demographics, and location, from the Patient Administration System means that  interaction with the Sensium system is a seamless experience for all clinical staff.
